Trachyspermum ammi: Contains essential oil (2-3.5%), phenol, thymol (35-60%), carvacrol, γ-terpinene, α and β pinenes, and dipentene. It is antispasmodic, antimicrobial, antiseptic, stomachic, carminative, and tonic. It is used to treat indigestion, dyspepsia, flatulence, colic, and constipation.
